The ORP measurement compares closely to that of pH measurement. The reference electrodes are frequently identical, but a noble metal electrode replaces the glass pH electrode. ORP measurements are frequently made with an ORP Electrode connected to a pH meter. ORP measurements are growing due to automatic control of residual chlorine and other oxidants.
