OPEC Open Path Eddy Covariance System

Dynamax is delighted to introduce the new OPEC (Open Path Eddy Covariance) system. A complete, fully integrated and robust system designed for continuous, long-term and immediate surface atmospheric CO2 flux determinations by eddy covariance over forest, grassland or crop canopies.

The "plug-in, ready to use" system combines high quality component parts already proven and respected within the ecophysiological research community.

OP-2: ADC's open path CO2/H2O analyzer, developed from the NOAA design, is proven in research sites throughout the world. The open path design overcomes time lag effects of traditional closed path analyzers.

R3-50: Gill Instruments' highly respected 50Hz research sonic anemometer. The robust and easy to use sensor is ideally suited for research of large eddies at high mast levels and is fully synchronized with the OP-2.

EDDYMEAS: Windows based software package for data acquisition and post-processing of eddy covariance data. Developed by Max Planck Institute in Germany and used extensively in ecophysiological research sites across the globe.
