 The Irrigation Moisture Switch, IL200-MS™, is a
unique new product that easily controls irrigation by an accurate measurement of soil
moisture. Irrigation for landscapes, trees, crops or vegetables is scheduled only when
water is needed so water bills may be reduced 30 to 50%. Irrigation with advanced timing
controllers handle multiple schedules, but the controllers need an automatic shut off when
water is being wasted. Typically an irrigation controller schedule is not aware of saturated
soil conditions caused by rain or over-watering. Over watering plants causes root rot, lack
of oxygen, and disease. Water runoff and leaching not only wastes money but often wastes
drinking water, fertilizer and damages the environment. The average homeowner,large or small
business does not waste time adjusting irrigation schedules because the IL200-MS™
Moisture Switch kit handles watering automatically.
The IL200-MS™ helps all existing controllers since they do not monitor actual moisture conditions, weather, and are not automatically adjusted by plant water need. The sensor is plugged into the soil and buried in the root zone where water is needed. The Dynamax Moisture Switch regulates water applied by continuously monitoring the soil condition at the sensor, and interrupts the controller schedule when enough water reaches the plant roots. As soon as the soil dries out below the recommended set point, an internal switch closes that signals the controller to continue irrigation as needed. The Moisture Switch box comes with normally closed, normally open, and separate hot or neutral outputs making several connection options easy and reliable.
